Stop Behaving Like That!

Always complaining and whining, don’t you know it’s contagious?! Trying to form your own kingdom? Suit yourself but don’t push me, I ain’t your blacking silly puppet!

Be more independent, don’t be so bloody kiasu! We’ve got to live with what we have, what we could get, OK!

And you! Stop being a jerk talking so loudly! Stop scaring people at ATM! What I do with my money is none of your blacking business, KPC!

First Week of Work

Tuesday, October 4th, 2005
The first to arrive at office. Finally met with my neighbour Wan, rather loud, always not in place... Did inventory check, later Ellen invited Bernice and I to the breast cancer awareness talk, feels good not to be left out.

Dr Azubah, the radiologistat NCI conveyed lots of information on bc, Ms Tan demonstrated and led us through breast examination. Can't believe some aged women behaved immaturedly and joked about breast exam like pre-teens! Are they shy? Shy in sex ed; shy in bc awareness talks, rape awareness seminars; leading to lack of proper knowledge in self protection and appreciation.

Got back to my cubicle, my laptop awaits me. So darn heavy and bulky - not gonna bring it home!

Got stuck in blacking traffic jam for 1.5 hour, arrived late, didn't blacking know my time slot for breast exam at NCI departs at 9! Freaking SV never inform us that our emails are up! Useless pc of #%^*. Got yelled by KW, felt darn bad to have kept Karen, Bernice, Kathrine and Moria waiting for me. Sigh. Bad impression? Sigh.

Not qualified for mammogram test, deemed unnecessary for pap smear test, Dr Kanan only did manual breast and pelvic exam for me, great massage, ooh~, ahh~! Proceeded to Dr Azubah for breast ultrasound, she squeezed lots of lubrication gel on the twins, then used a X-ray roller examining the twins for cyst and suspicsious tissue groups, "prominant" was the only thing I remember her telling me. Glad I'm bc-free, yay!

Due to time constraint, had lunch at NCI. Hospital food, oh!

Surprised when Eric asked "how's it" after that. Oh it felt great? My breasts are fine? What else? I don't breast cancer-free so far. Thanks for your concern :p

Carrin came over and made silly jokes, said I don't need to stick photos to cover the cubicle coz Eric's my opposite neighbour, then I realised he looks clean and has well-defined features, but not exactly my type of cute guy :p

Had dinner with babysitter, really love home-cooked food. So warm and delicious.

Went to watch lovey play futsal. Even before half way through already too sleepy, so had to go to the car for short nap. Realised working life's so much more tiring than studying life.

Disagreement with lovey.

Saturday, October 8th, 2005
Woke up with really blue mood. The office's really quiet on Saturday. Chatted with Tally for a short while, a really nice, friendly colleague. Danny came in at 10.30 and asked if I wanna join him for breakfast, releknya!

Swam with sister, Bala coached me further, gotta practice way, way more to be swimming the proper way. She made me laugh. Thanks sis.

Went to IKEA after swim, she helped me choose plant. So lucky to have her company when the day's lousy. Thanks again!

Went to CSK. So tired. Uncle Liew massaged my back and my head, so relaxing and comfy I fell asleep... Sis sold out all 5 YMCA coupons for me, worth RM100, within 2 hours. Wow I'm super impressed!

Lovey called. Things are cool now. So happy :) Thanks lovey, for calling, for still loving me. You mean a lot to me, too *hugkiss*

Later.

My First Job

Woke up at 6, thanks to mom for being the alarm clock :p The weather started my first day of first job right by pouring hehe, who to thank?

Jalan Kuching was jam as usual, thanks to the accidental discovery of longer non-jam route in segambut. Managed to arrive at HP at 8.15am, it stopped raining, making me possible to walk to UOA, thank God!

Met with Bernice the Biz Consultant who also starts work today, thank goodness she wasn't stuckup, her friendliness makes her look even prettier and taller. Ms Wai Syee briefed us on the group and the company very quickly, Carrine gave us the access cards and Kar Wai brought us around 2nd and 7th floor to introduce to everybody. Met with the secondary school senior Ian Low, couldn't recall his Chinese name but he already yelled out my name (before we even shook hands! How the hell can some people have such wonderful memory?! Arrggh)

Then finally she showed us our seats. I just couldn't help mapping the office scene to Scott Adam's comics - cubicles and cubicles. I'm used to the idea of people working in cubicles coz mom brought us numerous times to her office since young, but sitting in one, one of MY VERY OWN, so to speak, felt rather constrained. Thank goodness my place's back facing the glass, facing the entire office, the outside sceneries are mine to view, the blinds are mine to adjust :p The two red walls at both sides excites me for some unknown reasons, amazing.

Started reading the past projects, jargons, jargons, more jargons! Mumbler documents!!! Mumbler mumbler, mUmBLeR! Bah. So much research to do before I could keep up to pace. Anyway, Eric who's sitting in the opposite cubicle facing me, is handsome, mmm, eye refreshing? :p Apparently it doesn't help, realised that after reading and reading the whole day... But 'tis good to know that he's friendly. According to Rod, many of 'em in the office are ex-APIITians, hmm, surprised. How could the world really be this small, though I don't remember seeing any of their faces before...

Forgot to load, had only RM5 for the entire day, was a lil' worried actually. Rod brought Bernice and I out for lunch at Center Point, erm, ok. Thanks for lunch, boss :)

Not sure what's so great bout the toilet that they can't give us at the IT division, a key each to unlock the toilet. So someone who drinks like fish like me, felt embarrassed to keep having to go to the receptionist to get the keys to the ladies...

Anyway, it's really professional of the company to solve the supposedly-to-be-catch22 problem - the company furnished a letter for opening of account for salary payment! How a wonderful arrangment with the bank downstairs!

Btw, thanks lovey for the reminder with regards to the P&C of salary and pay slip. Mom lectured me on that since young - reminders are always most welcome though :)

Conclusion:
1. Taking up a job which isn't directly related to what you've studied, isn't such lousy step after all, if the difficulties are seen and taken as challenges. In fact, it can be fun and arousing in the strangest way hehe...

2. Remember to bring enough money to work to save worries and embarrassment!

3. Try to bring snacks to the office if allowed, we know what wonder snacks do when boredom and sleepiness attacks when it's bad time to! Snacks, sound close enough to sex, ooh, the both do wonders! Bah.

Self Esteem Booster

It surely feels good to be able to help people. More so when that someone's your friend, and he trusts you and is willing to give you a chance to help him.

Just to say, thank you, Sara. By helping you solve your PC problem, it increased my self esteem :)
